WENT has a full time local News Director Tom Roehl. Tom is the most honored news newsperson in the Capital District having won numerous local, state and national awards, including the prestigious Edward R Murrow award for news reporting. Tom covers all the local news happening around the area, as well as national news from CBS.
WENT broadcasts the local high school football and basketball games with live play by play. Tom Roehl and Alex Isabel have broadcast 1200 games in the past 31 years.

WENT carries the New York Yankees games and playoffs as well as the NFL Networks game of the week. These attract a very loyal active audience.
