Hometown: Amsterdam, NY
Corey has been in & out of broadcasting most of his life. He started on Sunday Mornings in 1978, as a high school senior, at a small Amsterdam, NY station. He worked his way up to M-F mid-days & eventually, program director. When the owners acquired another station in Corinth, NY, he split his time covering mid-days in Amsterdam & nights in Corinth.
In 1983, Corey married the love of his life, Marion. Together they raised two children, Ryne & Selena. He took a broadcasting hiatus during this time & worked in retail sales & student transportation.
In 1996, feeling the call of the microphone & headsets, he accepted a position as weekend announcer & fill-in at WENT. Corey enjoyed his WENT tenure greatly, which included hosting the Sunday Morning Nostalgia Show & filling in on every shift as needed. In 2013, career choices once again forced a broadcasting hiatus.
Recent life changes have led Corey back to broadcasting. Marion passed away in October, 2022. Feeling a huge void in his life, December, 2022 found him back as a WENT fill-in. In the chair for just a few weeks, Corey was offered Saturday & Sunday afternoons, which is where you will find him today.
In his spare time, Corey enjoys hanging out with his children & grandchildren, Owen & Luna; traveling & attending concerts.
