John Markiewicz “I began my career at WENT in early 1974 as a salesperson. Joe Tobin was the station owner at the time, and wanted me to learn all aspects of radio. I wasn’t really interested in sales, but it was a way to get my foot in the door. In the early spring that year, the late John Reich announced he would be leaving the News Director’s position and I jumped at the chance to get on the air. Part of the News director’s duties was to host the Sunday Morning Show, which turned out to be my favorite part of the job. So I left the news department and the rest is history. I did leave the in the early 90’s for a few years and returned in 1996 and have been here ever since. I currently am on the air from 10 to 3 Monday through Friday”
